Ok so Shadow has some obvious 'secrets' about himself that only he seems to know. Though he has some big plans of reviving the lands of Feyllia but he can't necessarily do them on his own.
The Lamb will need followers to learn his way of life and his other ways. Shadow is a teacher. He will change Feyllia in ways that no mortal horse before him has done before. If you wish, the offer is open for horses of all walks of life, from the most rebellious slave to the meekest King, to join Shadow. |

Altair and Ama might be two good horses to get to know, but I don't know about followers. I can't speak for Cloe, and Amaryllis would be very skeptical.
