[glow=red,10,500]Altair[/glow] Altair walked slowly around the many pens around him. He was currently at a slave auction; something he truly despised. He hated seeing horses tied and waiting for some cruel stallion to buy them; it felt so wrong to him. The entire thing went against what his order had stood for and what it would stand for again. The white stallion huffed silently as he moved around and looked at the different horses for sale today. Even though he was against slavery, he was not above buying horses from the auctions and releasing them once bought. He thought that this would be the best way to get them out of their current situations and maybe, in turn, they would choose to join into his own herd. Above all, he needed members to make her order great again and what better way than to help some that were already in need.
He stopped as he view one particular pen. It had a mare and her foal inside of it; they were apparently going to he sold together. 'The filly does not look old...maybe three months? It would make sense to sell them together.' He thought as he looked at their number and starting price. The starting bid looked to be going at 100; a really cheap price to start. 'I'll have to remember them...' Altair reminded himself. As he looked at the mare he whispered quietly. "What is your name Miss?" He asked kindly; his ears forward and head bent in a non-threatening manner. He wanted to show her that he was not like the others; that he wanted to help.

Daggers shifted around the edges of the pens. Orbs dancing all around the place. Her figure running wild and wanting to bust out and get her daughter to a safer place than were she was before. Her eyes finding herself planting her eyes upon the sight of an icy stallion that came up towards her. Her daggers backing her away from the edge of the pen where he was coming from. Listening to his words as he spoke to her. Gazing at his figure he did not seem to want to harm them. Hearing that he had asked for her name. Thinking for a moment if she should say it or not, but with a deep breath she said out slowly, "Alina." Her words were soft and quick into his thorns. Watching as other seem to surround were they stood. Her thorns pinning and her body staying as close as she could to the figure of the small chestnut filly that she had birthed.

Luxanna
Some poisons blind you, while others open your eyes... Luxanna had been in these pens before, only to be sent to the roaming pens for a few hours to rest. She stuck close to her mothers side, mimicking her movements. The filly didn't understand why they were forced to prance around for others to view, exactly, but it was apparently important to keep moving. Although she could not see where her little hooves were to be laid next, she had memorized this place. It was familiar, and she was able to move without worrying at all. Afterall, those that are blind know there surroundings better than those that could see. They had to. Pausing and moving in time with her mother, she perked her ears at the sound of an unfamiliar voice. With so many strangers about, Luxanna didn't talk often, and kept her silence now. Even so, she could hear the kindness in the stallions voice, and did not fear him. She peered around the side of her mother towards the sound of him, even though it did little to benefit her. Her icy blue eyes stared blankly, waiting for the conversation to move further. It didn't occur to her that he may be there to buy them. In fact, she hardly understood the concept. For now, her and her mother were at home, a place Luxanna had always known.

[glow=red,10,500]Altair[/glow] Altair could easily tell that the mare was scared of him and he knew that she had good reason. There were many horses buying slaves and most were not kind in their handling. The white stallion felt a slight stab in his heart as he thought of all the cruel things that this mare and filly must have been through. It was then he made a decision; he was going to save them. It did not matter how much it cost or what it took; he would take them away from here and help them live a happy life. 'They deserve at least the chance to be free.' He thought in determination. He noticed that the little filly was slightly curious about him, which he smiled slightly at. He always had a fondness of foals, even when he was younger; so it was a no brainer to help these two. He had already looked at the other horses for sale and none of them had young horses; so the decision to buy them was easy. "Hello Miss Alina. My name is Altair." He said warmly as he looked at the mare. He was glad that the mare decided to talk to him. Most times, the slave horses wouldn't want to talk when being auctioned off; so this was a nice change. "Tell me Miss...would you and your young one want to be freed from this place?" He asked as he glanced around. He had to make sure that the others didn't notice him speaking to them; otherwise it would be hard to free more slaves in the future. Luckily there was no one watching them.

Alina smiled when he finally heard the sound of the stallion's name come into her thorns. The thought of her foal living the life that she wanted to live. The freedom that all equines should live and not have to put up with the things that a slave has to put up with. Smiling softly as she gave him a soft nod at the thought of freedom. Gazing up through her slight gaze as she looked at him. "Please get us out of here." She said softly before she heard the crowd screaming that she was not moving.
Thorns pinning at them as she saw the sight of another equine coming into the pen. Trying to push them along and charging towards them to get them to move. With that she quickly moved forwards. Kicking out at the other that was in here with them. Hearing him leave when they started up again. hearing all the bids that were being placed on them. Hoping that this stallion was going to save them from this hell hole.

Freed? Luxanna tilted her head at this, not sure if she really liked the sound of it. She was no caterpillar, who did not fear the change into a butterfly. The thought of freedom was appealing, but that came with a price. Openness meant vulnerability to her, and she could only think about how difficult it had been to know what surrounded her already. Still, her mother seemed to want to leave, and Luxanna would take new things with the curious braveness she always had. The sound of pounding hooves startled her, and Lux moved skittishly to follow her mother. Prancing as swiftly as that was demanded of her, even though she couldn't see, Lux was more than aware of all the strange eyes that watched them now. As they began to move again, on their own for the time being, she spoke quietly to her mother. "Where's he going to take us, Mamma?" He seemed nice, this Altair, even though the filly was still hesitant to be leaving the only world she had known since birth. Still, Lux wanted to get to know him better, and was drawn by his warm disposition. It seemed like he was going to help them, and that was admirable by anyone. Especially a child.

[glow=red,10,500]Altair[/glow] Altair smiled a small smile at Alina and nodded a tiny bit. He was giving her a silent agreement that he would get them out; he was giving his word. Without hesitation he called a bid; a bid way higher that what the others had been bickering over. He could tell that most of the other slave owners thought he was crazy for shouting out such a high bid, but that mattered little to him. All he cared about was getting these two to safety. He looked at the slave owners waiting to see if anyone else would bid. The older ones recognized Altair from previous auctions and immediately backed off. They knew that this was one stallion that you would not win against. Some of the other, younger, ones glared at Altair; silently challenging him with their eyes. To this Altair simply gave a glare of his own as he pinned his ears flat against his head. He went from the kind and understanding Stallion to the rough and dangerous one with a cause to back him up. Quickly the younger ones back off as well; sensing that they would be in for a fight if the continued. As the auctioneer gave the final call and declared Altair the winner; he let out a silently sigh of relief and quickly went to pay for his bid; waiting for Alina and her daughter to be brought to him like a proper 'slave owner'.
