[glow=red,10,500]Altair[/glow] Altair sighed happily as he seen his land come into site. He was returning to his home from the slave auctions; two new companions at his side. He had been thrilled to be able to buy Alina and Luxanna's freedom. As he walked he held a rope in his teeth. It had been the rope that was used to give his new 'slaves' to him when he had been ready to leave the auctions. Of course he had to make sure that he had held onto the rope until they were close to his home; knowing that anything less could have and would have sent red flags into the minds of all the other slavers. He had to keep up the appearance of being a true slave owner if he wished to continue to free others. Now that he was close to his land he dropped the rope. "Miss Alina..." He turned to the mare. "...if you wish. You and your daughter of free to go now, though I would stay far away from the auctions." he paused for a moment before he continued. "Or you may come with me and become a member of my herd; the Order of the Light. There no one will hurt you again. The choose is yours." Altair stated calmly as he looked at her. He very much wanted her to stay and become a member, but knew that she had to make that choice for herself and if she chose not to stay with him that he would have to respect her wishes.

Daggers pounded into the ground as Alina motioned his way forwards over the ground. Orbs looking all around a this very place that she walked upon. Thorns perked as she saw that they were "home:. Something that Alina never thought she would ever get a hold of. Gazing down to her little one with a soft smile upon her face as she looked at her and then looked ahead. "We are free my darling." She said softly as she lowered her skull and whispered into her thorns as they walked forwards.
Letting her gaze look up towards Altair as he spoke towards her. With her head looking around to young Luxanna she she wandered by Alina's side. "What do you think Lux? Do you want to stay free and live in this land and know that know harm will be done to us?" She asked softly to her little one. Yes, she wanted to say Yes to Altair just to that they were really safe, but she wanted to ask Lux to see just what she would think about the idea. Letting her head turn and look back to Altair. Hoping that he would understand just why she was asking Lux if she wanted to stay here or not.

Anxiety had held her all the way to this new, as she walked a new world that she knew nothing of. The filly had hugged her mothers side the entire way, and as they paused in the grassland she could feel her nervousness ebb only slightly. Although she could see nothing, Luxanna instinctively looked around her. This place seemed far better than the last, and she could actually experience breathing clean air in a calm atmosphere. Looking back to her mother as she spoke, asking her a question, Luxanna pondered it only a moment before responding. "I don't know, Mamma. Where are we? I don't know this place." She whimpered, feeling the foreign ground with hesitations. Luxanna had lived her life in the slavery pens, and wasn't used to having to relearn her surroundings. Still, she wouldn't completely shoot down the idea. If it made her mother happy she was sure she could be happy there, too. It would take time, no doubt, but eventually Luxanna would become comfortable again - given the right amount of support. Sniffing around, she could faintly pick up the scent of other horses, and the prospect of friends was slowly winning her over.

[glow=red,10,500]Altair[/glow] Altair looked at the little filly as she spoke. He knew that going to a new land would be hard for her; it would be hard for any young one. "You are in a place where you will not be harmed, little one." He paused for a moment before he continued. "You now can move freely and without worry of someone attacking you...my herd protects each other no matter what." He explained as he lowered his head down to her level. 'I hope that they will decide to stay. The Order needs more members and a slaver could pick them up again if they travel out.' He thought as he looked at them.

Her orbs turned and looked down to little Lux. Letting her head drop slowly and let her muzzle slowly touch Luxanna's small figure. "We are in Altair's land. He has brought us here and letting us be free. So that you can learn better than being marked a slave." She said softly as she knew that Lux would be nervious at first, but I knew that she would slowly begin to get use to what is going on.
With her head lifting back up as Altair began to speak his words to her. She could see that he was a very good lead equine> With that she gave him a soft smile and a nod of the skull. "I think this would be a perfect place for us to stay if that is okay with you Altair?" He said as he gazed at him. Wandering what he was going to say towards them and wandering if his terms were real or not.

With her short tail flicking back and forth against her rump, Luxanna stepped past her mother towards where she knew Altair to be. Lifting her muzzle closer to his, the filly tilted her head and looked up to him. "Are there other horses to play with here?" She asked, with the blank stare typical of someone who couldn't see anything with it. The small one hoped dearly that there would be. No offense to her mother, it got boring trying to get Alina to entertain her. Many times she'd been rejected, and understandably so. After all, if she was awake she was awake. Lux had very little concept of night and day. The way Altair talked about them, they seemed very nice. The filly hoped that there was someone else her age there, that way she'd have someone to romp around with. If they became friends, perhaps they could even help her learn the land a bit. She loved her mother, but having to stick by her all the time was just a tad bit embarrassing around foals who could do whatever they want.

[glow=red,10,500]Altair[/glow] Altair smiled at the filly. "Yes there are other horses there that you can play with. In fact, the herd just got a little colt into the herd. He's had a bad past and would probably appreciate having a friend." He stated kindly as he remembered the little colt, Ace, that was recently accepted into the herd with his mentor, a Knight name Cedar, and his adopted mother, Blaze. Of course the herd was just starting out, so there was not too many horses inside, but there would defiantly be more as time went on. He looked at Alina and nodded. "That would be perfectly fine with me, Miss Alina. Welcome to the Order of Light." He said as he looked at the rock formation his just up ahead. "There it is...home." He started as he motioned for them to continue walking.

Her mug placed a smile upon it as he gazed down at LUxanna. Glad to see that she might just have a friend in his life. HOping that this would help her learn a bit more and maybe she would learn the land to where she could explore a bit on her own. Gazing back towards Altair as he spoke his words into her thorns. Giving him a smile as well as a dipp of her skull towards him. Gazing all around as he began to take in her surroundings. "Thank you Altair. I owe you so much." She said as she turned and looked towards Lux.
Her body was so excited bout what was going on that her legs became weak under her. Making her figure fold it's pillars and fall down to the ground that was around her. Tears filling up her orbs as this was just so much to take in at once. The soft look in her eyes as she turned her skull and looked into Lux's eyes. "Now...my...baby...can...finally feel....free." Her words were a bit off with all the tears that filled her face. For Alina would always be branded a slave, but now Lux can be free and could be hidden easier now that she now was safe in this herd.

Smiling and giving a little hop, Luxanna suddenly became very excited. "Yay!" she exclaimed loudly as he told her about a little friend she now had the opportunity to meet. Home. Suddenly the notion didn't seem so bad. There were many new things to do now, and a new place to explore and get to know. This point in time was possibly the most exciting part of Lux's life. Following alongside Alina like usual, her sudden collapse on the ground startled her. The oddity in the way she formed her words was somewhat alarming. "Why are you crying Mamma?" she asked as she touched her cheek with her muzzle and felt the dampness of her mothers fur. Being so young, she couldn't identify the difference between happy and sad tears. All she knew was that when he was a newborn and fell and scraped her knee she had cried. Tears meant pain. Why was her Mamma in pain? Frowning, Lux nudged her mothers face wondering what exactly she may have missed.

[glow=red,10,500]Altair[/glow] Altair went to the pair and spoke gently to Luxanna. "Your mother is crying because she is happy. Sometimes when someone gets so happy that they can't contain it; it comes out in tears." He explained gently as he looked at Alina. He stood at her side and knelt down a bit. "Come Miss Alina...would you like to see your new home?" He asked as he nudged her gently with his muzzle. He could tell that Lux was not sure about her mother's sudden breakdown and he felt it best to try to get the older mare moving for the sake of her daughter. Once inside the barrier of the herd lands, he knew that he could allow her to be joyous, but right now all concerned him was making sure they got inside of the walls safely.

[color=magenta ] She turned and looked to Lux. Glad to see that Altair was explaining everything to her. For she felt as if she could not do it yet while she was trying to contain herself and get moving. Listening to the words of Altair as he encouraged her to get up. Giving him a soft nod as he pulled his daggers up to where he was standing up and gazing towards Luxanna. "It is okay baby. Let us go and see what these lands are going to be like for us both." She said as she reached down and gave her a soft nudge. Waiting for her to move with her as she took a couple steps forwards and gazing back to make sure that Lux was tagging along with them.

[glow=red,10,500]Altair[/glow] Altair nodded as he smiled a bit. He continued forward until he was mere feet from the rocky walls. He turned to looked at them for a moment. "Through this tunnel is your new home." He said as he started forward. The tunnel was narrow, but light enough to see without a problem. After a bit of walking, he entered the oasis valley. In front of him was a large valley with a huge lake in the center. There were trees all around the lake and in different areas around the valley. "Welcome home." He said as he moved to the side in ordered for them to see and explore.

Looking towards the general direction she heard Altair's voice, the filly wasn't sure she understood what he meant. She accepted it, though, and quietly looked back towards her mother as the stallion asked Alina if she'd like to see where they would no doubt be living for a long time to come. Receiving her mother's touch with a smile, Luxanna followed both Alina and Altair towards the tunnel that they would travel to reach the place they would call home. While she couldn't see the entrance, the filly could feel the coolness of the stone walls as they left the sunlight momentarily. As they broke back into the sun, the scents of strangers became far stronger and Lux pondered over who they may be. She couldn't see the beauty of the place, but the friendly chirping of birds and water running welcomed her. Flicking her small, whispy tail, Luxanna found that she couldn't wait to explore this new place, and to meet the other residences there. There weren't an overwhelmingly amount of strangers to meet, it seemed, but Lux had always met well-intentioned strangers with the sort of social courage almost always evident in those that were young. She wondered where they were in that vast place, and if they would come and greet the newcomers that were the filly and her mother.
