Aiyana
One touch of nature makes the whole world kin... A golden coated ear swiveled slowly, listening to the sounds of the birds chirping brightly. Their songs, an intricate weaving of harmony and melody, set themselves as the soundtrack to the forest in which they lived. Blossom Valley: A beautiful place where the foliage was subject to change at any moment. For now, though, the usual content demeanor of the goddess who inhabited such a land kept the greenery lush and healthy. Aiyana explored her forest with casual interest, taking in the beauty of what she helped create. Rainfall seemed imminent, as she stared at the spaces between the trees. The sunshine was slowly fading into a soft gray as moisture clung to the air. Animals of all sorts began disappearing into their burrows, dens and nests. Sighing quietly, the thought of seeking shelter left Aiyana surprisingly depressed. Another long night in a cave all on her own. It wasn't that the goddess had any difficulty making friends. In fact, quite the opposite was true. Every encounter she had ever made in the mortal world left her with one more follower. Despite it, the mare couldn't help but feel the loneliness of a goddess. At least Dasan and Hasina had eachother- Aiyana had no mate amongst the gods. Perhaps this was due to her quiet demeanor, or maybe even the growing word that she was weak. Although she would have liked to think otherwise, the goddess couldn't deny that she was perhaps the weakest of the gods. She had power, that was true, but rejected any sort of right she had to claim it. Aiyana created the earths ornaments because they were beautiful and she liked to help others and could never see herself using it against anyone. Turning her gaze to a struggling bud, she nuzzled it gently. As the pink flower blossomed, Aiyana dropped into the slightly damp dirt of the forest. The ground was cool against her belly and chin as she laid there, her white and golden forelock covering her eyes. She found herself dozing there as the rain began to dot her coat in small, gentle drops.

Svatur
Leather wings beat slowly but steadily, the wind rushing with each beat. The God of Death and Sickness looked exactly like his name, skin stretched so tight against his muscles and bones that he looked that he had starved to death in his mortal life. Svatur had been immortal for so many centuries now that he didn't even remember how he had died.
Svatur was circling and spirling downward towards a golden spotted mare that had become his very good friend over the years. She was the Goddess of Plants and her work was always such a wonder to him when all he did was bring death upon others. Svatur landed softly, his pale cream hooves bouncing slightly on the springy grass. He folded up his leathery wings and walked over to Aiyana, noticing how sad she looked. Usually he came to her when he was having one of his...ah...insane moments but he had also been there for her many a time. "What's wrong Aiyana?'

The rain bounced off the bright leaves, creating soft rustling sounds as it fell to the earth. Aiyana enjoyed the rain. It was a fickle thing, much like her. The heavenly water was necessary for all life to exist, although also the cause for many a beings demise. Drops dotted her dappled coat, slowly increasing in intensity. Perhaps she would move, if the storm became rough enough. Lifting her maw, Aiyana listened quietly to the music of the forest that had been softly interrupted by the sound of wings. Normally this company would have delighted her, and although she found herself to be a bit less happy than normal, it was still a break from her lonely existence. Rising to her feet, the goddess greeted the God of Death with a small smile. She had grown fond of him, maybe particularly because of how misunderstood he had become in the mortal world. Shaking away some of the dirt that had begun to cling to her underside, she tossed her forelock and spoke in her characteristically soft voice. "I simply get lonely here some times." Walking to him, she touched his whithers with her muzzle. The goddess had always been the sort to get up and personal with those she knew, even though she never could pinpoint why. Because she was so friendly and innocent in her ways, most horses didn't mind it, and those who did kept their mouths shut because of who she was. Of course, Aiyana was oblivious to how uncomfortable she made others feel some times. "How are you, my dear?" She asked, nuzzling his shoulder before turning to peer at him with her bright golden eyes.

Svatur
Listening intently to her and seeing the mare's feelings all over her face and body gestures, Svatur shifted into one of his other favorite forms, one he knew she loved for it was much more powerful looking then the thin and frail frame he currently took. His wings grew massively and his thin frame put on weight while changing his color to black. His mane and tail also lengthened into black waves with flame softly flowing as well as the flaming feathering growing on his hooves. His breath became smoke. When Aiyana touched him, he opened up his wings and wrapped one around her body in a comforting way. "My sweet, you know all you need to do is call my name and I will come. There is no reason to feel alone."
He listened to her ask him how he was and was instantly taken back into how he had his day today. There had been a foal, a slave mare, an old noble, and an unborn fetus, not even old enough to be considered a foal inside her mother's womb. It was a tough day but not an insane one. An insane one would be much much worse. Being truthful Svatur told the Goddess, "I am ok, it's been a rough day but nothing that is overboard. I hate it when I get the unborn though. Just once I would like to give life, not take it away." [/blockquote]

The goddess giggled softly as he shifted his form. She no doubt adored him no matter his appearance, but that of a sick stallion did not suit him. He was far too kind to her, and strong for that, and the disruption in that image was almost saddening. To think that someone so inevitably charming undertook such troublesome work was an unfairness anyone would have the mind to question. Not surprisingly, his work was enough to make him go mad some times. Aiyana could understand the fear others felt when he took on such a state, and yet all she could ever think was how sorry she was that he had to bare such a burden mostly on his own. It was in those times that she would come to him, try to share in his pain so that he wouldn't have to carry it all on his own shoulders. She was never afraid, not once for her own safety. Even if he were to hurt her, or cause her injury, she felt that she would rather him waste his hate on her if it were to ever overspill. The goddess felt comforted underneath his wing as he blocked some of the rain that was coming down. "You mustn't feel to discouraged, Svatur, for the spiritual world is many times more great than the mortal world." At least, that was mostly true. Those who lived their lives unjustly took a darker path, and forcing a soul into damnation was not an easy thing to do, she was certain. "Your work allows for the planet to grow. I wouldn't be able to create enough sustenance would it be any other way." she joked lightly, touching his cheek with her muzzle. Some where in the distance thunder cracked, and Aiyana looked upwards to notice exactly how dark the skies had become.

Svatur
The now massive, black, sleek, and firey God shook his wings ever so slightly to get the water off the tops of them as they sheltered the two horses from the gentle rain. He turned up his fire throughout his wings, mane, and tail to where both horses would be warm and not cold from the rain. He smiled a gentle smile to the gold and white Goddess, "You always have a way with words and making me feel better. I just hope that I do the same for you, my sweet." Svatur had often had doubts about a lot of things, one of which was whether or not he provided for Aiyana the right way and gave her what she wanted and needed from him as friends. But their relationship was never a doubt or a fear for him. Aiyana knew him better then Hasina and Dasan which normally Dasan was the one who tried to calm him down after his insane moments but since the Goddess of Plants and the God of Death had gotten close, Svatur's insane moments were not as harsh on him or the mortals or even the immortals even if they were getting more frequent. His theory on the growing of frrequency was that it was the two banished Goddesses that were causing it or his position getting used to the new balance.
"Have I ever told you how precious you are to me, Aiyana? How you say exactly the right thing at the right time. You are amazing, my sweet." Svatur said softly, shifting his body wieght ever so slightly to allow her to know he wasn't trying to make a move on her or anything but at the same time letting her know that she had the choice to get closer if she chose to. The rain was starting to beat down on his wings stronger and lightning had flashed while the wind picked up. Pretty soon they were going to have to seek actual shelter for whatever form he took, he always had wings and wings could break if left in strong winds while open.

Closing the small gap that formed between them at his slight movement was instinctual, and Aiyana hadn't even noticed it as she listened to what he had to say. They were charming phrases, flirtatious even, and the small flutters in her chest were foreign. The goddess wasn't quite sure how she should have reacted. Had she been human, a soft shade of pink would have no doubt crept into the high points of her cheeks. Lingering there as she almost struggled to find something to say. "You are far too kind, Svatur." She said, in a wispy, flattered voice. "I only show you the charity I'm sure you'd show me, were I to be in need of it." As another flash of lightning cut the sky, Aiyana felt her voice being drowned out by a thunderous boom. Tossing her forelock and snorting, an uneasiness touched her mind. While the foliage she mothered was strong, she wasn't sure if it could withstand such ferocious winds that were no doubt on the horizon. "We should move from here. I know a place we can hole up in rather comfortably." Despite her discomfort, Aiyana still managed to smile comfortingly as she left the shelter he provided. Picking up a comparatively fast paced walk, the goddess began to venture towards where a set of caves hid themselves in the west. They were a little ways away, but no doubt within walking distance. She only hope they reached their destination before the rain became unbearable.

Svatur
The God of Death realized suddenly that he might have made the Goddess uncomfortable and he started to apologize when she responded to what he said. Svatur nodded and simply said, "Yes. He was going to say more when a thunderous boom broke across the land. He watched Aiyanna toss her forelock in unease. Svatur was used to this kind of weather because of the dark side of the Underworld but that didn't mean that the other Gods and Goddesses were used to it. "Everything will be alright, especially once we get to better shelter. It's ok to show your fear."
Svatur quickly folded up his wings before they had a chance to catch the wind, with them pinned tightly to his sides, the black stallion followed the Goddess of Plants, trusting her to lead them to a place of safety from the winds and rain. "Let's just hope that there is no hail, hail can get nasty." He shouted over the wind.

As the rain intensified and the winds followed suit, Aiyana could feel her own intuition heightening in wariness. Picking up a swift trot, the goddess could only think about reaching shelter. "I don't fear for us alone." The goddess called, beginning to canter. Svatur may not have been aware of the danger that she was, not that that made it any less real. The trees that made up the forest were talking to her. Not in words or body movements, but instead directly to the back of her brain. She could feel the wood straining to stay upright in the midst of such a powerful storm. Yet, they were nearing the caves created just for this situation. Saddly, Aiyana hadn't thought to be nearer to them at the first sight of the oncoming storm. It had grown on the land so quickly that even the forests most intuitive mammals hadn't been on edge until shortly before it began. The rain was falling so heavily that water dripped from her body in small streams. She could see it now, though, the faint outline of a dark cavern. Yet, she stopped short. Or, at least, tried to. The muddy ground impacted her footing, and she wasn't sure if she would be able to stop in time. Perhaps she had noticed the small voice of this tree too late. It's trunk screeched and the tree swayed, making its way to the ground. Aiyana had sense this moments before it happen, but in all of her abilities as the Goddess of Plants she couldn't stop it from falling.
ooc- just making it clear that it will hit her if nothing is done, i just wanted to leave it open so you can reply with svatur seeing it happen....<3

Svatur
Svatur followed behind Aiyana and kept a watchful eye while also trying to stay protected from the rain, which wasn't doing much good. The mare had picked up speed and it was suddenly like time slowed down for him, he saw the cave that she had been talking about and at the same time, Svatur saw Aiyana notice the tree start to fall and tried coming to an abrupt stop. Death saw that the tree was not too big to be impossible to move but large enough to cause some major damage if it fell on Aiyana.
The seconds seemed to take hours as Svatur unfolded his wings and beat them as hard and fast as he could. The tree was already falling towards the golden and white mare. "NO!!!! Aiyana!" His wings brushed past her now stopped form as he swung his hooves out of the way of kicking her. This allowed him to get by her without causing her too much damage while also having his hooves facing the tree which he swung downward so that his chest and side slammed into the tree with a force that instantly made his vision blur.
Svatur fell, though he was not high up, the fall was akward and he didn't realize that the impact was just enough to make the tree fall beside Aiyana and his own fallen form. The stallion didn't get up for a a little while, his right wing tip was killing him as was his chest and side. He caught his breath and stood up, staggering at first but able to stand, his vision went back to normal but it hurt to breath. There were no broken bones but there was definate bruising. "Are you ok, Aiyana? Are you ok?"

With her eyes clenched tight, Aiyana braced herself for impact. A small girlish squeal left her, although it was most likely drowned out by the rain, thunder, and sheer static that pulsed in the air from the tension she felt in those few moments. When she opened them again, she had vaguely felt Svatur slip by her and heard his voice. Everything was hard to keep a grip on, between the dizzying sheets of rain and her confusion at not being seriously harmed. Taking in the sights, the goddess was all but horrified that Svatur may be injured. Going to him, she offered her body as support if he decided he needed it. "I am fine, darling." The mare did her best to hold onto her calmness, even if he was obviously injured there was nothing she could do for him. Peering at him through her thick, golden streaked forelock she smiled reassuringly. "We must get you out of this rain." Perhaps if he wasn't standing she would have been more frightened for his safety, and even now she was anxious for him. Her heart beat furiously in her chest as she nuzzled his cheek and moved to help him towards shelter. "We'll be alright..." She muttered quietly to herself, probably too low for him to hear. Once they reached the safety her shelter provided she could inspect his injuries more closely. Perhaps Aiyana would be able to aid him in some way, or at least offer him comfort for whatever pain he may have been feeling.

Svatur
Svatur folded up his one wing and tried to fold up his other but it hurt too much for him to pull the wing tip in. So he was forced to leave his right wing open ever so slightly, which hurt even worse when the wind caught it. Svatur heard Aiyana's words and couldn't reply. Every breath he took felt like a knife was stabbing him in his lungs. His hooves and legs were fine however and nothing was broken. Given a few days and everything would be back to normal.
He did end up leaning on Aiyana ever so slightly whenever the pain in his lungs was too much. The trip to the cave was agony on his chest. Svatur did manage to say slowly and with a couple stopped in between, "Bruised lungs... every...thing will...be...ok. I.... promise." He caught his breath and righted himself to where he was walking on his own four legs and continued the walk to the cave on his own. He swung his head to make sure for himself that Aiyana wasn't hurt, she looked ok physically at least.

Aiyana supported Svatur in that seemingly endless walk to the cave. She felt guilty, as he struggled to speak the simplest things to her. The goddess should have been the one to be hurt, not this sweet creature. His pain touched her in a way it only could a person with extreme empathy, and tears welled silently in her eyes. As they entered the cave, though, the rain did most the work in concealing her saddness. Stepping away from him slightly, she motioned towards the ground. "Lay down and let me look at your wing." The goddess said softly, her ear flickering towards the pouring rain outside. Now that they were safe, the sounds were more comforting than anything. "My dearest Svatur, you should not have injured yourself so." She admitted regretfully. Perhaps if she had been more aware that tumbling tree wouldn't have injured either of them, and they'd be happily resting. Maybe telling stories, or just listening to the rain together. Aiyana nuzzled his cheek lovingly, hoping to be of some comfort. "You shouldn't have taken such a blow for me..." she muttered, drawing up so that she could look at the only injury she may have been able to fix- his hurt appendage.

Svatur And I will show you my love And I will show you my mercy The massive black horse walked alongisde Aiyanna until they got to the cave where he lay down with his injured wing extended across the floor. "Please don't...be sad, my sweet." Svatur said, saddness in his eyes over seeing the Goddess so hurt. It wasn't her fault and he did what he had to do to save her. "These injuries will...heal, darling. You would've gotten hurt...much worse then I did if I had done nothing."
His breathing still felt like a knife was stabbing him but talking was easier now that he wasn't in the storm or moving. A few days rest and he'd be as good as new. "Shhh my sweet." He murmmered softly as her cheek brushed up against his. He brushed his cheek against hers in return. "I will be fine." He lifted his wing slightly for her to look at. [/blockquote]

Aiyana peered down at him sadly, pausing momentarily. "I care about you, of course I am sad to see you in such a state." Moving to his wing, she touched it as gently as she could manage with the green horn that poked its way through her forelock. Vines began to form, climbing their way around his wing. They pulled gently, tightening themselves as they wound their way around his neck. These plants were as strong as Aiyana could manage, and acted as a natural sling. His wing wasn't moving any where until those vines were cut or killed, and would hopefully help him heal just that bit faster. This sling would also keep the wind from catching it, which would hopefully make his journeys outside in the next few days more enjoyable. Satisfied with her work, Aiyana circled to his other side to lay down with him. Sighing softly, she nibbled his mane lovingly. "I am forever in debt to you." She muttered, "I know spirits will be calling to you, but you may stay here with me for as long as you wish." In fact, the goddess hoped he would stay a long time, although that weren't possible given his duty.
