[glow=red,2,300]Ace[/glow] Ace had been walking for what seemed to him like days. He didn't know where he was going. All he knew was that he was tired. He finally could not take it anymore. His young, fragile, legs gave out and he crumbed to the wet sand. As he laid there he watched the tide waves come in and out. Occasionally a wave would touch his sore legs, making him snort. He needed water, but as he had found out a little while ago, this water was too salty to drink.
Ace felt the waves hit him some more, but he didn't care. He was unwanted. He had been turned down by four bands of horses. One made lame excuses that their herd was too full, but even Ace knew that wasn't true. Another said that they didn't want a nobody in their group. The Last ones had simply chased him off like he had been some sort of predator. He couldn't understand why they did that. He was alone and his mother was dead, why couldn't they find it in their hearts to help him?
He closed his eyes as the sun rose to it's highest point of the day, too weak and exhausted to do anything else. 'What am I going to do?'

Cedar
A Morgan stallion raced down a hill leading to the seas, the stallion could hear the ocean waves beating against the shore. Seagulls made their annoying little squeals. Cedar just enjoyed the feel of the wind streaming through his mane and tail, the saltwater spraying his pelt as he pounded along the waters edge. The Dasan Sea didn't make him feel small simply because the knight loved coming here, so he was used to sensing the power and vastness of the ocean.
As he galloped with the wet sand beneth his hooves, Cedar spotted something that instantly made his heart and hooves stop. The knight reared high and started walking towards the creature that he was sure was dead. As he got closer he saw that it was a newborn foal. Cedar stood right next to it, lowered his muzzle and gently nudged it to see if it was alive.

[glow=red,2,300]Ace[/glow] Though Ace was nearly asleep he heard as strange sound. The sound seemed to be making the sand that was under him move. Whatever the pounding sound was, he didn't care. The little newborn colt had practically given up trying to move. He just thought it was useless now. 'It's probably just in my head anyway...' He thought slowly.
It wasn't until Ace felt someone...or something nudge him that he realized that was not, in fact, in his head. Someone was actually standing over top of him. Ace slowly opened his eyes, squinting at the blinding light. He make a small snort, showing whoever was nudging him that he was alive. "Hello?" He said hoarsely as he was finally able to look up at the horse before him.

Cedar
Cedar backed away a couple of steps to give the foal some room. Now that he was paying attention he could tell that the foal was a colt and a handsome one at that. The paint was black and white but very very skiny and obviously exhausted. "Hello young one, is there any way you can stand? There are streams not too far from hear. There is no milk though, did you get any from your mother, colt?"
That was very important, if the foal hadn't had that first drink of milk, then the colt was basically doomed. He wouldn't have the gotten the proper sustenence to fight off sickness and infection. Cedar didn't know what he would do if the foal couldn't get up. The foal had to get to his feet or he wouldn't survive.

[glow=red,2,300]Ace[/glow] Ace looked at the large horse, which he how realized to be a Stallion. He didn't answer the Stallion's question verbally, but he simply managed to roll his body to the side. Flailing his legs as he worked, Ace finally was able to get into the position to stand.
With a great amount of effort he was able to stand, though his legs protested extremely. He looked up, now able to see the Stallion better. "Yeah..." He said as he answered the Stallion's question about mother's milk, though he really did not know what that had to do with anything. The thought of his mother made him sad because he knew that he wasn't going to see her again.

Cedar [/size] "Good, come on then young one. This is going to be hard but you have to fight through it. I can help you keep your balance but you have to stay upright, got it?" Cedar knew he was being tough but if he wasn't then thr colt never would have gotten up. The colt would've died right there on the beach.
Cedar snorted, "Come on, fight! I know you can do it." He encouraged the colt, nudging him slightly, doing all the grulla stallion could do. "What is your name? I'm Cedar." [/blockquote]

[glow=red,2,300]Ace[/glow] Ace looked at the Stallion and gave a tiny snort. The colt took a slow step forward, then another. It was painful to walk, considering that he had been walking for so long already, but thanks to the Stallion's encouragement and help Ace kept pushing through.
The small male eye's shone with determination as he continued to walk. "I'm not really sure...I think my mother named me Ace." He said the the Stallion, Cedar. He was curious though. All of the other horses that he had come across had turned him down or chased him away. Why hadn't Cedar done that? He let out a snort as he tripped a bit on the wet sand. "You're different from everyone else..." He said as he looked up at the Cedar for a moment.

Cedar
"That's great, keep going. Your doing a very good job, Ace." Cedar smiled, already feeling proud of the black and white paint colt. In his mind he had decided to get rid of the colt as soon as possible, how could a stallion possible take care of a young newborn colt that needed to suckle milk, properly? But his heart was already growing fond of the youngling. It might be difficult but maybe, just maybe, this might actually work.
The handsome grulla cocked his head sideways in curiosity, "Oh, how so?" Cedar kept very close to Ace so he would have a strong body to lean on if his legs failed him at any time, or if he needed help.

[glow=red,2,300]Ace[/glow] At Cedar's encouragement, Ace kept moving through any pain that he had. He knew that once they reached the river, that he would finally be able to get a drink of cool water. Along with Cedar, the thought of water kept him of his tired hooves.
He looked up a Cedar as he walked. "Well, I found four other groups of horses before you found me. The first group said there was no room for me...which I know was a lie since there was only three of them. The second do me to get lost and that I was unwanted. And the last two simply just chased me off." He said as he looked sadly at Cedar before he looked back forward again. He didn't like that they had pushed him away without even getting to know him. It made him feel bad about himself.

Cedar
Cedar listened carefully to the colt, then he thought hard about what to tell the young colt so that he would understand. "Our world is a harsh one to live in, Ace. Nothing in life is going to come easily. Those four bands that you came across were wrong in what they said and did but all they saw was a colt with no mother. They had no way of knowing that your mother had died unless you told them and if you did tell them then those other horses might not have wanted the responsibility of caring for you. Ace, you have already had it much much worse then every single horse alive today but this will make you much much stronger than any horse alive in time. Understand?"

[glow=red,2,300]Ace[/glow] Ace looked up at the Stallion and nodded slightly. Though he did feel bad that he had been chased away, he no understood why the did it. Ace stumbled a bit, so he leaned against Cedar to find some support. He was glad that the stallion was helping him. He did not know what was going to happen to him in the future, but he knew that for right now he was safe.
Ace picked up his head as he suddenly smelled water. It was not the salty water that he smell, but fresh clean water. He smiled a bit as he realized that they were almostly there. He would finally be able to get a drink. 'Maybe everything will turn out okay' he hoped as he started to move forward a bit faster than before.

Cedar
Cedar sighed, it was just plain sad that this foal had gone through so much. He had lost his mother and this was the first kindness Ace had ever experienced. Cedar made a silent promise to himself that he would do everything in his power to look after the foal.
"We are almost there, go ahead, go as fast as you can, Ace. I will be with you every step of the way." The gruella knight exclaimed. The knight would wait to explain how his world worked though, Feyllia was different then other lands. Seeing the Kings, nobles, and the harsh treatment of slaves will most assuradly be a shock to Ace.

[glow=red,2,300]Ace[/glow] He looked up at Cedar and then in the direction that they had been going. He could smell the water, so with all of his strength and determination the colt pressed forward. He snorted loudly as he started to surge forward. The colt went to a trot, then canter, and finally in a full force gallop. Ace's small was tail high and proud as he ran across the sand.
At last he had reached the river, were he simply ran into. He splashed a bit before he took a drink. The cool water made his sore legs feel better. The looked at Cedar and smiled slightly, his ears forward and excited as he did so. ooc: thinking about adding Blaze into this one

Cedar
Cedar kept up with the black and white colt easily, pleased with how fast the colt was moving. With the proper nutrition and with time, Ace would grow into a wonderfully strong and healthy colt. That pleased him so much that he chuckled, the sound light and happy.
Then the gruella laughed outright as he watched Ace splash in the water, enjoying the coolness before he dropped her head to drink. Then Cedar himself walked up to the edge and dropped his head to drink. Then his eyes narrowed playfully and he stepped a little closer to Ace. Then, he reared, using both hooves to create a huge wave that splashed and soaked the colt. "Suprise!" OOC: Thats fine. I was gonna suggest that once we finally reached the water too. lol, great minds think alike.

[glow=red,2,300]Ace[/glow] Ace tumbled back as the water hit him, but he smiled wider than before. He stood and shook himself, making water fling in all directions."Not fair...your bigger than me!" He said laughing as he reared a bit. He took another drink and the snorted as water went up his nose. He was happy to be having some fun, especially since this was actually his first time playing ever. [glow=purple,2,300]Blaze[/glow] A young mare, Blaze, lifted her head as she smelled the air. She knew that there was fresh water around here, she simply had to find it. As she walked she would check behind her every so often. The once care free mare, was a bit skittish now. She knew that at anytime she could hear the hoof beats of Talon and that scared her deeply. Her former love, she knew, was stalking her and waiting for the best moment to strike. She made it to the river where she notice a small colt. She smiled, having a deep fondness of foals. When she started to walk down, she saw the Stallion and instantly stopped. Though she was not afraid of foals, Stallions were another matter. Even since Talon had abused her, Blase was cautious of any Stallion. Blaze touched her shoulder where a couple of scars were clearly visible. ooc: Guess they do... lol.
